About Us

The Enso Room was created as a community where women come together to celebrate wellness, connection, the beauty of imperfection, and the joy and messiness of life.

Life is an adventure. It's beautiful. It's messy. Let's navigate it together.

What is an enso?

Enso (formally spelled ensō) is a Japanese symbol meaning circle of togetherness. It is traditionally drawn using only one brushstroke as a meditative practice in letting go of the mind and allowing the body to create, as the singular brushstroke allows for no modifications. While at first glance, the enso symbol appears no more than a misshapen circle, it symbolizes many things: the beauty in imperfection, the art of letting go of expectations, the circle of life, and connection.

Meet Kristin Aeschlimann, LPC

...passionate about travel, wellness, wholeness, community, and the joy and messiness of life.

Over the course of my career,

I've flirted a bit too closely with burnout. With over two decades as an educator and therapist, surviving the mess of COVID and the daily demands of caring for others, I wondered how to keep showing up with heart when I felt so drained myself. And then came perimenopause! The anxiety, night sweats, and brain fog made everything harder. But it also became an invitation.

I began to

ask different questions. I started to reevaluate my priorities. There was no longer a way (or a desire!) to push through. It was time to reevaluate what wellness meant to me, to focus on working toward a more whole, well-rounded existence: slowing down, listening to my body, managing my energy, and nurturing relationships that feel real. I started paying attention, eating fresh food, incorporating movement into my day, reading, creating, being mindful, and managing healthy boundaries...

While each person's story

is different and each must determine their own priorities, there's something about navigating alongside others that helps. My circle has gotten smaller as I've aged. It's no longer enough to base a friendship just on having kids the same age. I want authenticity, conversation, thoughtfulness, continued exploration and learning, honesty about what it means to be a woman in midlife, leading with love and acceptance of both ourselves and others.

When I discovered the enso

I knew I had to incorporate it. How fitting to pull together into one symbol the beauty in imperfection, the art of letting go of expectations, the circle of life, and connection. The Enso Room is a place where we come together to figure out how to live a better life... an intentioned existence:

 - leading with love

 - always learning and exploring

 - growing healthier, stronger, more whole

 - in community
